Turing Announces Changes in Management Structure
Turing Inc. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Issei Yamamoto; hereinafter “Turing”), a company committed to developing fully autonomous driving technology utilizing generative AI, announces the appointment of a new CTO, CFO, and CBO. This decision is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its management structure.
Changes in Management Structure
Turing is a startup dedicated to the development of fully autonomous driving technology. We are developing an End-to-End (E2E) autonomous driving system where AI makes all driving decisions—such as steering, acceleration, and braking—based solely on data from cameras.
To date, we have driven technological innovation toward achieving more advanced autonomous driving by developing our multimodal generative AI “Heron,” which makes sophisticated decisions using various types of data such as text and visual information (from cameras). We have also developed “Terra,” a generative world model for autonomous driving that can understand complex situations like physical laws and interactions between objects in the real world, and generate realistic driving scenes as videos.
In light of the need to accelerate the development of our “Tokyo30” project—a project aimed at developing an autonomous driving system capable of driving for 30 minutes in Tokyo without human intervention by December 2025—as well as the accompanying organizational expansion and fundraising efforts, we have strengthened our management structure by appointing a new CTO, CFO, and CBO. Shunsuke Aoki, the former CTO, will continue to be deeply involved in Turing’s management as a Director and Co-Founder.
