「第19回YANSシンポジウム」にて、当社エンジニア・荒居秀尚がチュートリアル講演に登壇します。

生成AIを活用した完全自動運転車両の開発に取り組むTuring株式会社(東京都品川区、代表取締役:山本一成、以下「チューリング」)は、2024年9月4日〜6日に梅田スカイビルで開催される「第19回YANSシンポジウム」にて、当社エンジニア・荒居秀尚がチュートリアル講演に登壇することをお知らせします。

本講演では、当社において世界モデルやVision Language Action (VLA)モデルの研究開発をリードしているエンジニア・荒居秀尚が、視覚・言語・アクションの三つのモーダルを扱う基盤モデルの仕組みについて解説し、自動運転における応用例を紹介します。

 なお、当社は同シンポジウムにゴールドスポンサーとして協賛しています。当日は上記チュートリアル講演のほか、スポンサーブース出展やスポンサーセッションへの登壇、ポスター発表等も予定しています。

Speaker:Hidehisa Arai
Title:The Two Major Trends in Generative AI and Autonomous Driving
Content:The related technologies of large language models (LLM) from the field of natural language processing and diffusion models from the field of image generation represent the two major trends in the current generative AI boom. Recently, research combining these technologies for applications such as robot operation has gained momentum, showing a broadening scope beyond just natural language processing and image generation. This tutorial will explain the mechanisms of foundational models that handle the three modalities of vision, language, and action, and introduce applications in autonomous driving.    
Biography:After completing his master’s degree at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo in 2021, Hidehisa Arai worked as a machine learning engineer at Recruit Co., Ltd., where he developed recommendation systems and engaged in research and development of Vision & Language models. Since April 2024, he has been involved in research and development of world models and Vision Language Action (VLA) models at Turing Inc.
